The Palomino Midge replicates the midge species in its pupal stage of life. The stripped end of the ultra fine vernille represents the breathing filaments of the midge. Peacock herl is wrapped to form the thorax. Diamond wing fiber is pulled over the peacock herl thorax for the wing case.
