The Lightning Bug is a nymph that has no real-life counterpart but somehow has the ability to trigger a strike. Z-lon is used to create the tail, and rainbow-colored tinsel is wrapped to form the body of the fly.  At the thorax, we tie in four transparent red legs to add movement in the water.  Pink dubbing and a Z-lon wing case finish off the thorax.  Finally, a Nymph-Head bead is used to sink the fly to where the fish are.
